Topic: What is different between movie and book in Harry        Potter

 Introduction….

“J.K. Rowling is the creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series, one of the most popular book and film franchises in history.”
Rowling was born in Yate, United Kingdom in 1965, to Peter and Anne Rowling. Together with her mother, father, and younger sister Dianne, she moved to Winterbourne, Bristol and then to Tutshill near Chepstow. She attended secondary school at Weyden Comprehensive, where she told stories to her fellow students.

As a single mother living in Edinburgh, Scotland, Rowling became an international literary sensation in 1999, when the first three instalments of her Harry Potter children's book series took over the top three slots of The New York Times best-seller list after achieving similar success in her native United Kingdom. The phenomenal response to Rowling's books culminated in July 2000, when the fourth volume in the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, became the fastest-selling book in history.

The seventh and final book in the series is markedly different from the first six in one specific way. With the exception of some final chapters, Harry is not attending Hogwarts. He has outgrown his role as “student” and instead steps fully into the role of “hero.” The question throughout the entire novel is whether our hero will have to sacrifice everything or not.

Before we enter in to the Deathly hallow in harry potter we have to understand the general meaning of what is Deathly hallows?

 Dumbledore’s backstory.
Harry begins to learn about Dumbledore's past, but it goes much deeper in the books. We learn about Dumbledore's family, the death of his sister Ariana and his relationship with Grindelwald. Learning more about Dumbledore definitely changed my perspective on his character, and it gives you a better idea of what Dumbledore really sees in the Mirror of Erised.

Voldemort’s history.

In the books, there is a much larger focus on Harry learning about Voldemort's past. Dumbledore shows Harry a series of memories in order to prepare him for his quest to destroy the Horcruxes, but the movie only shows a few of these. We don't get to see Voldemort's family history, in which we learn that Voldemort's mother gives his muggle father a love potion. The lack of love in Voldemort's past is influential in his future villainy, but the movies completely skip over this information.

  Voldemort's death.

Voldemort spends the entire series desperately trying to avoid death—his name literally means "Flight of Death." At the end of the book, Harry and Voldemort are in a standoff, and Harry explains to Voldemort why he's been wrong all along. Harry sets out to prove that Voldemort has to face death eventually because he is no different than anyone else. In the movies, Voldemort slowly disintegrates when he is hit with the killing curse, undermining his humanity.

Deathly Hallows

   1.The Dark Lord Ascending
Movie
Book
Severus Snape arrived at Malfoy Manor alone.
he arrives with Corban Yaxley

2.In Memoriam

Movie
Book
Hermione Granger is seen with her parents and Ron Weasley at The Burrow.
Hermione only tells her friends where she sent her parents.

Though the newspaper article in the film is seen mentioning the book The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore, the film never really explores it in the same way the book had. Harry would only learn of Gellert Grindelwald later in the film, Ariana Dumbledore in part two of the film, and while Elphias Doge and Muriel would later briefly talk about a couple of events, the article never really upsets Harry in the same way.

      3. The Dursleys Departin

Movie
Book
They appear to leave of their own accord.
Dedalus Diggle and Hestia Jones, members of the Order of the Phoenix, took the Dursley's away to safety, as they would have been unable to hide from Voldemort themselves.
  • It's not explained in the film how Harry obtained the fragment of mirror he often peeks at throughout the film.

4.    The Seven Potter

Movie
Book
Moody tells them all that they are to head to The Burrow.
They all head to separate locations (related to the Order) and they then use a port-key to The Burrow.

Harry keeps Hedwig in a cage, she is not set free.

5.     Fallen Warrior

Book
Harry and Hagrid's pursuers realise that it is the real Harry not because Hedwig attacks one of them, but because Harry casts Expelliarmus at Stan Shunpike instead of stupefying or killing him.

Voldemort gives up pursuit because Harry's wand shoots golden sparks at him, allowing Harry and Hagrid enough time to cross the magical boundaries protecting the Tonks' house. In the book, Harry simply manages to flee when the wand Voldemort was using broke .

Book
Movie
Harry wakes up in the Tonks' house wandless, without Hagrid, and accuses Andromeda Tonks of being Bellatrix
Neither Andromeda or Ted Tonks appear

6.  The Ghoul in Pyjamas

Movie
The events of the entire chapter were omitted entirely from the film, along with a later explanation for how the Weasley family would later hide the fact that Ron was helping Harry find Horcruxes with the ghoul.

7.     The Will of Albus Dumbledore

Movie
Harry's 17th birthday was not portrayed in the film.

8.  The Wedding

Movie
Book
Harry went as himself.
Harry pretended to be Ron's cousin, "Barney Weasley"
Though an old woman who argued with Elphias Doge was meant to be Muriel, she never received a proper introduction.

      9.   A Place to Hide
Movie
Book
he simply disintegrates when it reaches the trio.
In 12 Grimmauld Place, the dust version of Dumbledore is defeated in the book by saying 'kill,' or a variant of the word
Hermione was not very polite to Kreacher
she is very kind toward him.
they work out who Regulus was alone after a time but a proper backstory for him was never told.
Harry appeases Kreacher by giving him the fake locket, and gains knowledge from Kreacher about Regulus Black and his adventures

10.  The Bribe

 Movie
Remus Lupin never showed up at Grimmauld Place to explain how the world was changing ever since Voldemort took over the Ministry, meaning Harry's argument with Remus was never portrayed either.

Nymphadora Tonks' pregnancy was never mentioned either.

11.Magic is Might

Book
Magic is Might statue portrayed a witch and wizard upon a throne.
Harry, while pretending to be Albert Runcorn, meets Percy and Arthur Weasley in an elevator and he warns Arthur that he was being tracked.

12.     The Muggle-Born Registration Commission

Movie and Book
When Harry breaks into Dolores Umbridge's office in the book, he takes Moody's eye from the door which alerts the Ministry that there was an intruder.
In the book, Harry enters the chamber where Mary Cattermole was being interrogated alone, and under the invisibility cloak. In the film, he walks in in plain view along with Ron.
In the book, Harry and Hermione take out Umbridge and Yaxley before they had a chance to react. In the film, Harry just stupefies Umbridge in the face. In the book, the Patronus then cast by Umbridge only protects the interrogators; in the film, it protects everyone in the chamber.
